Behind a discreet doorway overlooking an eighteenth-century building, there's a courtyard that isn't just a place. It's a vision. The natural extension of its creator: Massimiliano Gazzè.
The Verga Courtyard, now one of the most popular destinations for signature drinks, turns ten. Yet its history is rooted in a distant intuition, born by chance during a trip to Paris. That inspiration has become, over the years, the guiding principle of a project that combines hospitality, aesthetics, and experimentation.
Together with his partner, Gazzè has created a place that reflects a precise vision of the profession: “I do this job thinking about how I would like to be served”.
Behind the counter is not just an entrepreneur, but a tireless traveler who travels with his family to discover what's happening in the world: new formats, trends, food cultures.
To tell this vision is Suruq Magazine, an editorial project that began in print and now also features images and voices to continue its narrative of eastern Sicily and the Aeolian Islands with a new approach. In the latest episode of the documentary series by Appress Agency and made by Rockisland Studio, dedicates space to Massimiliano and his Cortile Verga. This visual narrative is part of a broader journey dedicated to the human and creative excellence of this part of the island, showcasing the people who transform everyday passions into gestures of beauty and culture.
